Department of Marine Sediments and Seafloor

This department (known as Marine Geology) is tasked with the execution of marine surveys and geological investigations pertaining to the sedimentary and aquatic ecosystems of the Arabian Gulf, inland water bodies, and rivers. Investigating the depositional and mineralogical characteristics of sedimentary deposits, alongside the chemical, physical, and environmental attributes of seafloor formations and marine sediments, and their interplay with minerals and marine waters.
