Department of Coastal Physics and Marine Waters

This department is primarily concerned with investigating the physical attributes of marine waters, hydrodynamics of water masses, processes of mixing and circulation, tides, waves, coastal phenomena, hydrographic investigations, and the application of radioactive isotopes for assessing radiation pollution in sediments and determining the characteristics of the marine environment. In addition, the department investigates the interplay between meteorological variables and the sea surface, in addition to climate and its variations.
